How much do you tip on a wine tour?

Tipping on a Kelowna wine tour is completely optional and not expected. At Red Dog Wine Tours, we have no expectation of a tip from any guest.

Your tour price includes your transportation, winery tastings, guide and the other advertised inclusions. You should never feel that you need to tip in order to receive good service.

We truly appreciate a good review if you enjoyed your experience. A positive review on Google, TripAdvisor, Viator, or our website helps other travellers find us and is greatly appreciated by our guides.

If you would like to tip your guide

If you feel your guide provided exceptional service and you would like to give a tip, it is entirely up to you. There is no required or standard amount.

  • Good service: Some guests choose to give $10–$20 CAD per person for an afternoon or half-day tour.
  • Exceptional service: Some guests choose to give $20–$30 or more per person when they feel their guide went above and beyond.
  • For groups: Guests may pool their tips together rather than tipping individually.
  • How to tip: Cash is always fine. If you prefer to use a card, our driver can accept a tip using the Square app.

If you don’t tip, that’s completely fine. We understand that everyone has a different budget and approach to tipping. A sincere thank-you or a positive review is also greatly appreciated.

What about tipping at the wineries?

Winery tasting-room staff are separate from your Red Dog guide, and tipping them is also optional. If you receive particularly good service from a winery presenter, you can choose to leave a tip, but there is no obligation to do so.
