How Many Wineries Will You Visit on a Wine Tour?

On a wine tour, you can expect to visit multiple wineries to sample a variety of wines and learn about the winemaking process. So, how many wineries can you expect to visit on your wine tour? Private tours can be customized to visit more wineries with alternate pickup times, duration, or even a lunch stop.

    We’ll visit 4 different wineries

  • Do you allow children on the tour?

Should You Bring Your Kids on a Wine Tour?

If you’re considering a wine tour with the little ones in tow, it’s important to go into it prepared. While nearly all tours offer an enjoyable experience for adults alone, bringing kids along can be more complicated and require extra planning. Luckily, private tours provide a way to give your family their own personalized adventure! Let us explore both sides of taking children on wine tours – from the pros of learning about viticulture together as a group to potential cons like managing expectations- so everyone has nothing but fond (and educational!) memories afterward.

Can I bring my baby/toddler on a wine tour?

Red Dog Wine Tours immerses adults in a luxurious oenophile experience. Guests must be 19 years or over to join us on one of these exquisite tours, allowing them an inside look into the magical process of winemaking – and tasting! It is not recommended to bring young children, especially toddlers on a wine tour. This is because wine tasting bars are usually quiet and relaxing environments, and toddlers may be disruptive or act inappropriately. If you choose to bring your baby or toddler on a wine tour, they must be accompanied by an adult and this may mean that the adult cannot participate in wine tasting as they would need to look after the child at all times. We also do not allow the booking for small children on regular wine tours where we have other groups or individuals joining the tour, however, you also have the option to book a private tour. If you are considering bringing your child on a wine tour, please call and talk to us here at our office. Ph: 1-866-477-5266

  • How many tastings are included in the tour?

How Many Tastings on a Wine Tour?

Have you ever wondered how many tastings you can expect to get on Kelowna a wine tour? The answer might surprise you – usually, you can expect to get at least 3-4 tastings per winery, and at some, you may even get more! Whether you’re looking for a fun day out or wanting to learn more about different wines, understanding how many tastings you’ll get on a wine tour is essential. Let’s explore the answer to the question, “How many tastings in a wine tour?”

The Number of Tastings Will Vary

A wine tasting experience is a delightful opportunity to explore the depth and breadth of wines available! Depending on which winery you visit, you’ll have access to an array of samples ranging from 3-4 different varieties – each 1⁄2 ounce serving allowing your taste buds to tantalize without leaving any unpleasant effects. If there’s one particular type that tickles your fancy then don’t be afraid; inquisitive guests may find themselves being treated with special attention as they delve deeper into their favorite tipples and receive additional generous tastings along the way.

    Tasting samples vary

Generally, You Will Receive a Minimum of 3-4 Tastings

Generally, you can expect to receive at least 3-4 tastings, but at some wineries you may get more. People visiting wineries are divided into two groups, the ones there to buy, and the ones just there to sample. The individual guests or the tour company pays the tasting fees, and for that they get a standard number of samples and types of wine.

Lets calculate how much Alcohol consumed

Nothing beats wine tasting for unwinding and appreciating wine. A guided wine tour with a driver includes a maximum of 4 or 5 wine samples at 4 wineries. Each sample weighs 12 ounces. If we average our sampling time per winery to 15 to 30 minutes. You’ll have 30 minutes to enjoy each of the four or five samples. That works out to an average of 2 12 ounces (75 mL) of wine per tasting period. The Alcohol by Volume (ABV) is 8% to 20% depending on how much sugar is added to it during fermentation.

  • Can I bring my dog?

You Can’t Bring Your Dog on Our Wine Tour (Unless You Have an Approved Service Dog)

Wine tours are a wonderful way to try new flavors and explore the beautiful landscapes of your favorite vineyards. However, furry friends must stay home – unless you have an approved service dog – as allowing pets on our tour is not permitted for safety reasons. Even though it may be disappointing news for pet lovers, this policy allows us to create an enjoyable experience for all guests participating in our wine tour!

Having a dog in a closed space like a tour van can be a problem, especially when it comes to allergies. Not everyone can tolerate being around animals and the exposure can cause severe reactions. Even if your dog is not shedding fur or dander, it can still bring allergens from outside into the enclosed space. Additionally, some people may have mild reactions to pet hair, saliva, or other bodily secretions that can be transferred to fabrics or surfaces in the vehicle. We want all of our guests to be comfortable and safe, so for these reasons we cannot allow dogs on our wine tours unless they are approved service dogs.

    Fear of Dogs

For many people, dogs can be a source of joy and comfort, but for others, dogs can also be a source of fear and anxiety. Having a fear of dogs, also known as cynophobia, can cause people to experience intense fear and avoidance when it comes to dogs.
We understand that bringing your pet along on a wine tour might seem like a fun idea, but we cannot allow this in order to protect the safety and wellbeing of all of our guests. As some guests may have an intense fear of dogs, allowing pets into our tours would create an unsafe and uncomfortable environment for those who experience cynophobia.
At Red Dog Wine Tours, we want all of our guests to feel safe and comfortable while they enjoy their wine tasting experience. We are committed to creating an enjoyable and stress-free environment for everyone who visits us, which is why we cannot allow pets on our tours unless they are approved service animals.

    Service Dogs

Service dogs can join their owners on a wine tour – providing invaluable assistance and companionship for those with disabilities such as blindness, deafness, seizures, autism or diabetes. These highly-trained pups are more than just furry friends; they can be lifesavers! However not every canine fits the criteria of being deemed a service animal according to The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). For example individual training is necessary in order for them to do work or tasks that benefit their handler’s needs and they must remain housebroken while under control at all times..
If you plan to bring your service animal on one of our tours, please let us know ahead of time so that we can make arrangements to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort. We will also need to see proof that your dog is indeed a service animal.
