How do you ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all guests?
At Red Dog Wine Tours, comfort and enjoyment are our top priorities — we design every detail of the tour to create a relaxed, welcoming, and stress-free day for every guest, regardless of group size, experience level, or personal preferences.
Here’s how we make sure everyone has a great time:
- Small group size — Maximum 10 guests per public tour (often 4–8), so the experience feels intimate, personal, and never crowded or overwhelming.
- Relaxed, unhurried pacing — Exactly 4 wineries with a full hour at each stop (including tastings, stories, questions, and short drives <10 minutes). No rushing — plenty of time to enjoy, ask questions, shop, or take photos.
- All-inclusive & transparent — One price covers everything: pickup/drop-off, tasting fees, light snack (cheese, dark chocolate, crackers), bottled water, luxury transport, and expert guiding. No surprise costs or extra fees at wineries.
- Door-to-door service — Pickup and drop-off at your Kelowna or West Kelowna accommodation — no driving, parking, or navigation needed. (Central locations free; outside areas may have a small fee.)
- Comfortable transport — Luxury Mercedes Sprinter or Metris vans with air-conditioning, plenty of space, and smooth, quiet rides — perfect for hot days or long drives between stops.
- Responsible & flexible sipping — Small pours (~½ oz each), max 5 oz per winery (BC liquor rules), total up to ~20 oz over 4–5 hours. Dumping/spitting encouraged, snacks and water provided, and the nightly text reminder: “Eat your lunch before the tour.” Guides watch for comfort levels and offer gentle suggestions if needed (e.g., slower sipping, extra snacks, skipping a pour).
- No pressure or rowdy vibe — Zero sales push, no drinking games, no loud music — just calm, respectful tastings and conversation. We avoid party-style energy so everyone feels relaxed.
- Personal attention — Your guide is knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive — happy to answer questions, share stories, take photos, or adjust pacing for individual comfort.
- Year-round planning support — Tours run May–October, but we take calls/emails 365 days a year to help plan, book, and answer questions — even in off-season.
My take as your guide: After years of leading tours, I’ve learned that comfort comes from balance: small groups, generous time at each stop, no pressure, and thoughtful details (snacks, water, air-conditioning). Guests consistently tell me they feel relaxed, safe, and fully able to enjoy the wines and scenery — that’s exactly what we aim for every day.
As of 2026, Red Dog Wine Tours is built for a comfortable, enjoyable Kelowna wine experience — no stress, just great memories.
